Mark Davis Mobiles in Los Angeles

It has been almost 30 years since I began creating mobiles and seeking gallery representation.

The process of keeping my ideas fresh and exciting to me has been perhaps the most challenging and exciting aspect of this journey.

Since I have remained in Boston all of this time, I have shown my work mainly at Pucker Gallery, on Newbury St.

A few years ago, I began approaching other galleries around the country.

The Coda Gallery in Palm Desert, California began to show my work, and that has given me

the chance to explore stronger compositions, both in scale and color.

This has had the result of freeing me in a whole new way, opening me up to a fresh new creatiove way to express myself.

In the Autumn of 2022 I was invited by the Maria Elena Gallery to show my work along with her artists at her booth in the Los Angeles Art Show this year.

I created this collection for her gallery that is the strongest work I have ever done.

I am so proud to be a part of this prestigious show, and to be on a new creative path in my life.

 Commissions: New England College

This is the final design for the sculpture I am making for New England College in Henniker New Hampshire.  It is being made of Corten Steel.

The overall dimensions will be around nine 9’ high, approximately 15’ across and will be made of Corten Steel, this will be a standing sculpture with no moving parts. I am very excited to be creating a sculpture that encompasses the concepts so important to this college; diversity and strength in a New England environment.

Recent Show at Pucker Gallery, Boston 2017

I recently had an opening of new works at Pucker Gallery in their new location. I created this piece for a large wall opposite the elevator banks in the gallery space. My intention was to create something large and exciting and I spent two months on the piece. The challenge for me was to keep a very simple palette and have a look of many layers overlapping each other.
